Swiss Consumer Prices Fall In January
Switzerland's consumer prices continued to decline for a fourth month in January, data from the Federal Statistical Office showed Friday.
Consumer prices declined 0.8 percent year-on-year in January, faster than the 0.7 percent fall recorded in December. This was in line with expectations. A year earlier, the consumer price index recorded a 0.3 percent increase.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index dipped 0.4 percent in January due to seasonal factors. Economists were looking for 0.3 percent fall.
